RockFi launches RockFi Philanthropy, its endowment fund to support public-interest associations

by
RockFi

RockFi was born from the conviction that private wealth management could be more transparent, more aligned, and more human. Today, we know it can also be more committed.

It is in this spirit that we launched RockFi Philanthropy, our endowment fund, on 23 September at the Maison de la Recherche in Paris. It allows our clients to transform a portion of their wealth into donations.

Joining us were our clients, our advisors, our partners, the supported organisations, and Michel Barnier, former Prime Minister and patron of Unafam.

‍

Our clients want to give their wealth purpose

For the wealthiest families, the question is no longer whether to give, but how to do so with the same rigour applied to the rest of their assets.

84% of very high-income households reported making at least one donation to an organisation or foundation in 2024, compared to 52% of the French population as a whole¹. In 2025, individual donations rose by 3.6%². And nearly a quarter of French people now wish to direct their savings towards social or environmental projects³.

This culture ofgiving back, well-established in the United States, is still in its infancy in France, particularly among this wealth-management clientele who have both the means and the desire for structured impact. It was this observation that led us to create RockFi Philanthropy.

‍

Three causes, three essential stages of life

The fund works to support brain and mental health at every stage of life: childhood, adulthood, and ageing.

For the launch of RockFi Philanthropy, we are supporting:

  • the Imagine Institute,the leading European centre for research, care, and education dedicated to rare genetic diseases, located on the Necker-Enfants Malades hospital campus;
  • Unafam, which supports people living with mental health disorders and their families, helping tens of thousands of carers every year;
  • the Brain Institutea research centre for neurological and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

We have rigorously selected these three organisations for the quality of their work, the strength of their governance, and their ability to deliver long-term impact.

‍

A presidency led by Laurent Garret

We have appointed Laurent Garret as President of RockFi Philanthropy, who also supports us as a Senior Advisor. With over forty years of experience in international finance, he notably served as CEO of Banque Neuflize OBC and as Country Executive for ABN AMRO France from 2017 to 2025.

‍

"Philanthropy requires combining generosity with rigour, emotion with sustainability, and commitment with impact. RockFi Philanthropy exists to forge this connection. Our responsibility is to select remarkable institutions, monitor the use of funds precisely, and build long-term relationships of trust with them," says Laurent Garret, President of RockFi Philanthropy and Senior Advisor at RockFi.

‍

A simple and transparent framework to turn donations into lasting impact.

RockFi Philanthropy offers our clients a simple, transparent, and collective framework. 100% of all donations collected are passed on to the beneficiary organisations, with no management fees. We handle the selection and monitoring of projects on a pro bono basis.

‍

"We wanted our clients to be able to give their money meaning, too. This culture of giving back is deeply rooted in the United States, but it is still developing in France. My partners and I are very proud to see this project come to life, and it is an honour to have it chaired by Laurent Garret, a former top executive and a true humanist," says Pierre Marin, co-founder and CEO of RockFi.

‍

Through this fund, we want to foster a broader concept of wealth, where financial performance, life goals, and social commitment go hand in hand.

A first chapter begins for RockFi Philanthropy.
